Mopti

Mopti  always was and remains a commercial center. With its location at the junction of the two rivers Niger and Bani it has always been an important harbour, where salt, fish and cloth have been traded. But these over-head photos show the reason, why Mopti is restricted in further development. Located between Bani-river and the floating area, Mopti-town is limited in extension.
